Aluminum Hummingbird #1

Origami hummingbird folded from heavy aluminum foil. Inspired by a paper crane I saw hanging from a tree — beautiful, but it wasn't going to make it through winter. Tried butterflies first; they collapsed after a few weeks outside. The hummingbird form holds up. Unpainted because I like that it isn't trying to be something it's not. This one lives in a birdhouse in front of Volunteer Park Cafe that had been empty for a while. Not anymore.
